Sometimes in life you get drained and need to take a break, but don’t know what to do to have some time for yourself. At least that’s true for myself, I know I can’t work anymore but I don’t know what I feel like doing to calm down and chill out. So here is my incomplete and unofficial list of self-care activities.
- Go for a walk
- Read a book
- Have a bath
- Watch an action movie
- Watch a childrens movie
- Watch an animated movie
- Binge watch a TV show
- Draw
- Work on your WIP (work in progress)
- Call a friend/family/loved one/supportive person
- Do a work out
- Go for a jog/run
- Read a graphic novel/comic
- Light a candle
- Light some incense
- Light some sage
- Listen to an audiobook
- Listen to a podcast
- Clean out your closet
- Do some gardening
- Watch your favourite youtuber
- Make cookies
- Bake a cake
- Re-organize your bookshelf
- Re-organize your dresser
- Go to the library and look at the all the books
- Go to a cafe and read/write/draw/listen to music
- Listen to your favourite band/singer/artist
- Hang out with your best friend
- Hang out with your significant other
- Put on an outfit that makes you feel amazing
- Go to a bookstore and look at all the pretty things (and try not to buy everything)
- Curl up in a comfy blanket
- Have a nap
- Dance
- Go for a swim
As I said, this is incomplete and unofficial. These are just things that I sometimes do as self-care. They may or may not help you, but they can at least give you ideas.
