To Amy, everyone has a flavor. Her mom is the flavor of mint–sharp and bright. Her dad is like hot chocolate–sweet and full of gentle warmth. Amy and her family live in a mining colony in deep space. She has spent her whole life in this mining colony. When her father loses his job Amy and her family are forced to go back to Earth, but that is a 30 year journey in frozen in a state of suspended animation! When she gets to Earth she has to learn how to adjust and start a new life on Earth.

My Thoughts

I think this was a very sweet story. It is a story about friendship and new schools and trying to fit in while still being yourself. I thought it was a very sweet book and the art was adorable. This first story was a lot of set up for the series, which is understandable, but I don’t know if there was quite enough happening for me to continue it. The ending left me wanting to know more, but not being desperate to find out what happens next.

Rating: 3/5

I hate when that happens. When you find a cute graphic novel but by the end you don’t know if you should go searching for the second volume.

I am reading Henry Among the Who-mans by Marguerite Viviane ( my Mom). Interesting scifi fiction novel.😊
