Horror Haunts #2: Vampire Books To Read pt. 2

Hello friends,

I will be honest, I really like vampires. I’m sure you’ve already figured that out. As a result of this, I had way too many vampire books to put into one post. So… here is part two of the vampire books to read.

American Vampire by Scott Snyder, Stephen King, and Rafael Albuquerque

This is a graphic novel series that follows Pearl, who is brutally turned into a vampire and heads out to get revenge on the European monsters that tortured and turned her. Each volume takes place in a different era and honestly this sounds so intriguing! I love the idea of following one character over her long lifetime and seeing the… dangerous shenanigans she gets into.

Let The Right One In by John Ajvide Lindqvist

Okay, this one sounds super interesting and I am here for some spooks and a centuries old girl? I mean… I am intrigued. Sign me up. In a small swedish suburb a boy i murdered, just as a new girl moves into town. Oskar is hoping that the death is some kind of revenge for the bullying he endures, but he is more concerned with the strange girl who only comes out at night.

Fevre Dream by George R. R. Martin

I will honestly say that I am pretty much only intrigued because George R. R. Martin wrote it. I mean… I’m not all into Game of Thrones, but who knew he wrote a vampire book?? The story Joshua York hires a riverboat from caption Abner Marsh. Marsh knows something is amiss when he meets hauntingly-pale York. This is the tale that follows a vampires quest to reunite his race with humanity.

Blood and Ice by Robert Masello

Alright, from Victorian England to a remote Antarctic research station, a couple frozen in the ice, a couple who is maybe not so dead? Being trapped in this remote research station with a murderous undead couple? Count me in!

Fledgling by Octavia E. Butler

An apparently young, amnesiac girl has alarmingly inhuman needs and abilities lead her to the starting conclusion that she is a genetically-modified 53-year-old vampire. And someone is trying to destroy her?! What is this mystery?! What happened to her life and who is after her?? I need to know!

The Passage by Justin Cronin

Post-apocalyptic, civilization crumbles into predator and prey. An FBI agent is determined to protect a six-year-old orphan fleeing from the doomed scientific project that triggered the apocalypse. For Amy, the six-year-old orphan, this story stretches miles and decades toward a time and place where she must finish what never should have started.

Well, here are the vampire books I want to read! Hopefully I will be getting to some of these sooner rather than later, and I will absolutely be reviewing them!

Hauntingly,
Alex
