Well here we are, the list to basically just hold myself accountable for all these audiobooks I’ve started. So, I’m going to give you a bit of a run down of all the audiobooks I have started and haven’t finished. All of these I’ve borrowed from the library on the Libby app. Some I have gotten halfway through, some I’ve only listened to a couple minutes of. So, here we go, all the audiobooks I’ve started and still have yet to finish.
The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George
This book is for my Books By My DNA series. It’s about a man who runs a bookshop on a boat, The Literary Apothecary. He has run this bookshop for a long time and has a special talent to know the right books to give customers based on what they need, but he has been stuck for the past twenty years. The story follows his life and how he is trying to move forward from the loss he experienced.
I’m about halfway through this, but of course as with my typical mood reader style I have put this one on hold for a bit because I just lost the interest in it.
The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzie Lee
Alright, I know. I am so behind on this hype train. I started this audiobook a while ago and maybe got about an hour into it, but I just wasn’t feeling it. Part of the problem was the homophobia in the beginning kind of put me off. I know it’s historical fiction, but I don’t know it just kind put me off.
The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
This is about a boy named Nobody who was raised in a graveyard by a group of ghosts. His family was murdered by a mysterious man (monster? thing? being?) and once he is older has to go on an adventure. I got about 1/3 through this and I was definitely enjoying but for some reason just didn’t continue it.
Rolling in The Deep by Mira Grant
This is a prequel to Into the Drowning Deep, which I absolutely loved this year. It’s a novella and I could only seem to find it as an audiobook. I was super excited to listen to it but for some reason I just wasn’t feeling it after I downloaded it. I am definitely going to be going back to it, but for now it remains unfinished.
Good Omens by Terry Pratchet and Neil Gaiman
Alright, I totally got sucked into the hype with this one. Once the adaptation came out everyone was talking about it and I figured I’d try to listen to the audiobook. I literally listened to the first few minutes and just never continued it. I’m sure I’ll get to it eventually, but for now I wont.
Are there any audiobooks or books you’ve started but haven’t finished yet?
