I saw this book tag and thought it would be fun to do! I believe the original tag is from Emma at Personally Emma. I thought this would a fun, chill post to do.
1. How many books is too many books in a series?
Oooh boy, this is a tough one. I’m not exactly sure. I haven’t read a lot of super long series. I think at the 10 book point my brain just starts to lose it. That’s just a lot of time to commit to a series.
2. How do you feel about cliffhangers?
I enjoy cliffhangers. They usually get me pretty excited and ready to read the next book in the series (as long as there is a next book).
3. Hardback or paperback?
Hardbacks are so pretty! But paperbacks are so much more convenient (and much cheaper). So, mostly paperback, sometimes hardbacks.
4. Favourite book?
This is so hard! I don’t have just one at the moment…
5. Least favourite?
6. Love triangles, yes or no?
Like 90% of the time no. I just don’t enjoy it. If it is done really, really well I can manage it, but typically no.
7. The most recent book you just couldn’t finish?
The only book I DNF’d last year was The Museum of Extraordinary Things by Alice Hoffman
8. A book you’re currently reading?
I’m currently buddy reading Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst.
9. Last book you recommended to someone?
I think the last book I recommended was Horrorstor by Grady Hendrix.
10. Oldest book you’ve read?
I think the oldest book I’ve read is Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson.
11. Newest book you’ve read?
The newest book I’ve read was Mooncakes by Suzanne Walker.
12. Favourite author?
I don’t have one!
13. Buying or borrowing books?
A bit of both. I love owning the books I love, and I love borrowing books to try new things.
14. A book you dislike but everyone else seemed to love?
Spilling the tea on this one, but Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
15. Bookmarks or dog-ears?
I tend to use bookmarks, but I do occasionally dog-ear my books. I know sacrilege, but you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes.
16. A book you can always re-read?
The Adventure Zone: Here There Be Gerblins has become my go-to reread for sure.
17. Can you read while hearing music?
I can. I used to only ever read while listening to music, now it depends on how I’m feeling and what I’m reading.
18. One POV or multiple?
Either is fine. I think where there are too many I get lost, but I don’t mind having more than one POV.
19. One sitting or over multiple days?
I usually end up reading graphic novels in one sitting and novels typically takes multiple days.
20. Who do you tag?
Anyone who wants to do it!
