This is another one of those posts that should have gone up a long time ago. It was supposed to be a Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This one is all about celebrating the books that we have enjoyed but don’t seem to talk about very much.
1. The Backstagers
Is so stinking cute. The characters are so diverse. A group of stagehands and backstage workers in theater group at an all boys school, who end up exploring the mysteries of what is under the stage.
2. A Natural History of Dragons
This one was super interesting. It follows a woman who has dedicated her life to learning about dragons and being the best in her field, when her field is a very male dominated. It is a super interesting take on dragons and almost like an alternate history.
Darien is an amazing first book in a trilogy. It follows a number of very interesting characters with very different skills. To avoid any spoilers I will just say that there is some weird magic that makes things very interesting.
Mooncakes is an adorable graphic novel about a young witch and a werewolf who used to be best friends and have some mysteries to solve.
5. The Infinite Noise
The Infinite Noise is a a novel based on the podcast by the same name. It is about teenagers with supernatural abilities, their experiences, and their relationships. It is definitely not the best book I have ever read but it was very good and enjoyable.
What are some books that you enjoyed but don’t talk about much?
