Hello friends,
If you don’t know this already The Nightmare Before Christmas is my favourite movie! So, when I saw this book tag of course I needed to do it! This was originally created by The Butterfly Reader, so go check out their original post!
Sally- A book with a character who loves someone so much and actually gets them in the end.

I don’t want to do spoilers so all I’m going to say is read Havemercy! Just do it. It’s about magical, mechanical dragons and wizards and war. Just read it.
Jack – A book with a character who longs for more.

Nadya definitely longs for more from her life. I think she is an incredible character and her story is wonderful. I think that you should definitely read this book.
Zero – A book with a loyal sidekick.

Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero definitely has some great sidekicks. In a way the whole group are sidekicks for each other, but we also have an animal companion sidekick! I would highly recommend.
Oogie Boogie – A book with one hell of a wicked villain.

The Bitterwine Oath has an unconventional villain and honestly I loved it. I’m not giving any spoilers but i recommend it. The villain is mysterious and creepy and oh so dangerous.
Halloween Town – A book that’s creepy or has a scary theme.

Ohh The Monster of Elendhaven takes place in a town and is very creepy! The whole premise of the story is weird and creepy and if you are interested in some short horror I would highly recommend.
Christmas Town – A book that left you feeling warm and fuzzy inside.

The Entire Guardians series literally made me cry with how warm and fuzzy I felt by the end of it. It is so sweet and the story follows some of the quintessential mythical creatures and people.
What’s This? – A book that took you by surprise.

I wasn’t expecting a lot from Alien: Echo, but once I started reading it I was hooked! It is so fast paced and interesting! I really, really enjoyed it way more than I expected. If you like space horror I highly recommend this one!
Tell me your answer to any of these prompts! What’s a book that surprised you?
Happy reading,
Alex
