New Year’s Book Tag

Hello friends,

I am here with a book tag for the new year! I saw this on Kristin Kraves Books and I thought it would be fun. So, let’s see what 2021 is going to look like.

1. How many books are you planning to read in 2021?

I don’t really hold myself to a strict number, because let’s face it, things happen and sometimes we read more or less than we mean to. I have a very arbitrary goal of 30 books because that is a reasonable and achievable amount to reach. I tend to pick 30 because it means I just need to read about 2 books a month and that is usually the low end of my reading.

2. Name 5 books that you didn’t get to this past year but want to make a priority in 2021.

Here are five SFF books with LGBTQ+ rep that I wish I had gotten to last year, but just didn’t manage to pick up. So this year I definitely want to read them all. They all look absolutely fantastic and right up my alley.

3. What genre do you want to read more of?

This has been the case for last year as well, but I definitely want to read more SciFi and horror. SciFi and horror are two genres that I say I love, but I haven’t read enough of and I want to really find what I like within both genres. There are so many good SciFi books coming out this year and I can’t wait to get to them.

4. Name 3 not-related-to-book goals for 2021.

Stay hydrated! Be more active! Stay in touch with friends more!

5. What’s a book you have had forever and are determined to read?

I don’t know how long I’ve had this book for, but I keep staring at it as I book I know I want to read and have just never gotten in to. It’s a huge chunker of a fantasy book, so its a bit intimidating. But, I definitely want to give it a go this year.

6. One word that you’re hoping 2021 will be
