End of The Year Book Tag

Hi everyone, I am back with a Book Tag for the end of the year! I’m sure you’ve seen this one all around the book world lately. So here are my answers!

Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?

The only book I have started this year that I want to finish is Behind These Doors. I started it months ago and it’s honestly taken me forever to finish, considering I’m not even done yet. I have been really enjoying it but it’s just not a book that I am desperate to pick up and finish so it’s been taking me awhile. I’ve also started a reread of The Lord of the Rings, which I am in no rush to finish, but it would be nice to get to at least The Fellowship of the Ring by the end of the year.

Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?

I don’t think I have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year. I have been rereading The Monster of Elendhaven, which is very spooky so always feels like a very end of year kind of book. I do have a Christmas book that I’m looking to read in December. The Lights on Knockbridge Lane by Roan Parrish is the next book in the Garnet Run series and is set around Christmas.

Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

I don’t think there are any new releases at the end of the year that I’m waiting for. There are a few books that have come out recently that I haven’t had a chance to get to or pick up yet, like The Heartbreak Bakery by A.R. Capetta, but there are no releases for the end of the year that I’m looking for.

What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

Three books I want to read before the end of the year is probably the hardest question you could ever as a mood reader. One book that I have been really excited to read is Master of One by Jaida Jones and Dani Bennett. I’ve also really wanted to conintue in their Havemercy series and read book 2, Shadow Magic. Finally, I also have been wanting to read Waking the Merrow by Heather Rigney.

Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?

This definitely depends on what books I read before the end of the year. I am hoping to read Shadow Magic soon and possibly The Story of Silence, so either of those could be a favourite if I get to them.

Have you already started making reading plans for 2022?

I have started making plans for next year! The major goal I have will be to read the books I own as a priority, with some new releases sprinkled in between.
