Hi friends, I am here today with a Top Ten Tuesday! This week is all about books with names in the title.
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
These books are in no particular order. I’m also going to give you 5 that I have read, with names in the title, and 5 that are on my TBR with names in the title.
Books I’ve Read
You Sexy Thing by Cat Rambo
This is a very fun Sci-Fi story that involves a live ship named “You Sexy Thing”. All I can say is if you like sci-fi, mystery, and some questions about sentience, this is the book for you!
Silver In The Wood by Emily Tesh
This is a short fantasy novella about Henry Silver and what happens when he meets the Wild Man in the woods. It’s a eerie story about fae.
Carmilla by J. Sheridan Le Fanu
I mean… the classic sapphic vampire story, what else could you need? All I can say is that I loved the gothic story and the sapphic.
Havemercy by Jaida Jones and Dani Bennett
A fantasy book about a war and the people who pilot mechanical magical dragons. The best dragon on the fleet is named Havemercy and she is fierce, just like her pilot.
Jack Frost: The End Becomes The Beginning by William Joyce
This is the final book in the Guardians of Childhood series. It follows Jack Frost and how he actually becomes Jack Frost and a guardian. It’s a really fun middle grade and a really great finale.
TBR Books
Dracula’s Child by J.S. Barnes
I mean, how can I say no to a Dracula spin-off book with some queer rep and the actual existence for dracula’s kid?
The Story of Silence by Alex Myers
This is a really interesting looking fantasy book about a non-binary knight named Silence, who has to go on a quest to figure out where they belong in the world.
Wundersmith: The Call of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend
This is the second in the Morrigan Crow series. I read the first book a couple years ago and I’ve started this one last year, but put it down at the time. It is a middle grade book about a magic school and different magical abilities.
Delilah Green Doesn’t Care by Ashley Herring Blake
Alright, I’m sure you’ve seen this one around, right? All I need to say is second chance, sapphic romance with a tattooed photographer and a single mom.
The Gilda Stories by Jewelle L. Gomez
Sapphic vampires! That’s it. That’s the whole point. Sapphic vampires.
Are there any books you love or want to read with names in the titles?
