Hello friends, I am back with another Top Ten Tuesday! This weeks theme is anything relating to love! So, I’m going to give you a list of ten books I love! No rules, no themes, just books I love. I will also tell you why I love them!
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Restricted by A.C. Thomas
This is a sci-fi romance, that is such a romp and fast paced story it had me hooked from the start. I’ve read it twice already, but I expect I will be reading it many more times going forward. We follow Ari as he travels across space with his hired pilot, Orin, to find his twin brother who had been kidnapped.
Rare Vigilance by M.A. Grant
A paranormal story about a bodyguard with trauma and a complicated history and his charge. Things get complicated as the two get to know each other better and secrets are uncovered. Conspiracies, threats, and paranormal happenings are in this fast paced story.
Our Bloody Pearl by D.N. Bryn
If you like pirates and sirens this is the book for you! A kidnapped siren is saved by a human and has to decide whether or not to trust him. I really loved this story and the complicated relationships involved.
The Sol Majestic by Ferrett Steinmetz
If you like restaurants in space and philosophical questions you’ll love this one. We’re following the staff of a space restaurant and a young philosopher who falls in love with food and the people of the restaurant.
The Master of Djinn by P. Djeli Clark
I love this alternate history, steampunk setting with magic. It was really cool to see Fatma solve crime, stop baddies, and flirt with mysterious friend. The mystery was really interesting and the magic was definitely a hit.
The Adventure Zone Graphic Novel by The McElroys
I love this podcast so much and honestly the graphic novels are so much fun. They are bright and colourful and so much fun. They’re full of humor and fun and fantasy.
Best Laid Plans by Roan Parrish
This was the second Roan Parrish book I read and gosh did I love it. I loved watching an adult character figure out their sexuality and what they wanted to do with their life. It was a really sweet story and just watching these characters grow was so wholesome and lovely.
The Tea Dragon Society by K. O’Neil
If you need a soft, sweet, beautiful graphic novel to make your day a bit brighter this is the one for you. It’s also a series with some more gorgeous books to read about tea dragons and soft characters.
Alien: Echo by Mira Grant
On a very different note this is a sci-fi horror book set in the Alien universe, yes those movies. You follow some teenagers on a planet where an unknown predator was accidentally brought down from an abandoned ship. As you can imagine things get complicated really quickly.
A Marvellous Light by Freya Marske
This was a really fun historical fantasy that uses cradling as the magical focus. I really enjoyed the magic, the plot, the mystery, and the relationships in this book. It was fun and really interesting and I’d highly recommend it.
