Top Ten Tuesday – Comfort Reads

Hello friends, I am back with another Top Ten Tuesday! This weeks theme is Comfort Reads. Comfort Reads have really been saving me in the past 2 years. I have read a few books over and over and they have been bringing me a lot of joy, escape, and warmth when things are difficult. Some I haven’t read multiple times yet but I know I will be picking them up again soon. These also aren’t all the books that I would consider comfort reads, but just a handful of them.

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Rare Vigilance by M.A. Grant

Yes, this is Rare Vigilance by M.A. Grant again. I feel like I keep putting this book in all kinds of tags and lists, but let’s be honest Atlas and Cristian live in my head and heart rent free and I love them to death. As much as this book is full of action and angst, I just adore them and I get so much joy (and anxiety) from this book.

Sing Anyway by Anita Kelly

Sing Anyway by Anita Kelly is so wholesome. This is just the sweetest romance story. I adore it and I adore Sam and Lily. I just love the vibes and would love to live in this book again and again.

Better Than People by Roan Parrish

Better Than People by Roan Parrish is so soft and sweet. This is another romance and it is filled with adorable pets and adorable men falling for each other. I just love these two and all their pets. That’s all.

Best Laid Plans by Roan Parrish

I really love Best Laid Plans by Roan Parrish. It is filled with healing and some angst, but also just learning to love and accept yourself as well as people finding their passions.

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien is one of those books that is something I adore listening to as an audiobook. Middle-earth is a world I feel so comforted by.

The Monster of Elendhaven by Jennifer Giesbrecht

Alright, judge me all you want, but The Monster of Elendhaven by Jennifer Giesbrecht is a horror book about a monster and a man on a mission. This book is gory and weird and dark, but something about it makes me want to come back to it over and over again.

Winter’s Orbit by Everina Maxwell

Winter’s Orbit by Everina Maxwell is a book filled with so much mystery, not talking enough, and pining. I adore this world and Kiem and Jainan. I could read this book over and over and never get tired of it.

Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree

Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree is the dungeons and dragons, soft vibes that I have been needing in my life. It is so soft and sweet and I love the high fantasy world without all the high fantasy stakes.

Restricted by A.C. Thomas

Restricted by A.C. Thomas is a sci-fi road (space?) trip that is just fun and fast paced and steamy all in one go. Definitely something that I find myself reading over and over again.

Silver in the Wood by Emily Tesh

Silver in the Wood by Emily Tesh is a book that is full of atmosphere and slow, dark vibes. It’s the vibes that really get me. I love dark vibes that are a little subtle. Plus the characters are so interesting and lovely to read about.
