Incredible Indies – Authors to Follow #5

Hello friends,

I am back with round 5 of authors to check out! Here are some more authors for you to check out! I hope you find some that look interesting to you and find some new authors you like.

Shoshana Rain

A lover of mythology, sexy romances, and heroines who give as good as they get, Shoshana knew she wanted to write fantasy romance since reading Kushiel’s Dart. When she’s not writing, she’s hanging out with her cat and trying to keep her garden alive in the harsh desert summer.

Casie Aufenthie

Casie grew up in a small rural town in North Dakota where she passed the long winters devouring science fiction, fantasy, and romance books. After a school project required creating her first story to share, she fell in love with how stories are capable of touching the hearts and minds of others. Her passion for writing only grew stronger over the years, and she published her debut science fiction romance, The Drift, in March of 2021. When not reading or writing, chances are, she’s either spending time with family, baking, or boxing.

T.G. Judge

I’m T.G. Judge; I write under a pseudonym as I like to keep my social media presence and authorship separate from my private life. Since I am putting an emphasis on my privacy, I can’t answer questions like “where are you from?” or “what are your pronouns?” (though “they/them” will suffice). I’m currently writing a dark fantasy called “Ebon Pinion”. Instead of publishing it traditionally or even through the Amazon store, I post it for free online, for all to read, through the website Royal Road, which specializes in web serials. I post new chapters on the 1st and 15th of every month; I’ve published the entirety of the first book (out of seven or eight in finality), I’m in the process of publishing the second book and am also currently writing the third book.

Daniel Meyer

My name is Daniel Meyer, and I’m a fantasy writer. My debut novel is Credible Threats, book one of the Sam Adams series and it’s due out this fall. (No hard release date yet I’m afraid.) Credible Threats is a (very, very loosely) YA urban fantasy novel about Sam Adams, a sixteen-year-old wizard forced to fight to save his city when a new drug floods the streets that gives ordinary humans magical powers and causes chaos to mount and bodies to pile up. I don’t think it’s too much of a spoiler to say that things get very complicated and very dangerous. It’s got action, sarcasm, magic, monsters, a talking cat, the works…

Jamie Jackson

amie lives in Charlotte, NC with her husband, three feral children and two badly behaved dogs. She has BAs in English and Theatre, her favorite part of which was working backstage on traveling Broadway productions. And I write an urban fantasy about superheroes & mythology retelling series, Adventures of a Villain-Leaning Humanoid. Which is about Meg, a woman with the power of fear, and her encounters with the villains and heroes she despises. Books 1-3 are currently out and available on Amazon. You can find me under @villainleaning on Instagram and TikTok as well as Twitter, and once Facebook lets me out of “our bots don’t think you’re a real person jail” my author page Adventures of a Villain-Leaning Humanoid will hopefully be back up and functioning.

Joel Flanagan-Grannemann

I am Joel Flanagan-Grannemann. I’ve been writing since I was in high school, but only published in 2020. After college I stopped writing. Life just got in the way. Not writing was always a source of depression for me. Then in September of 2019, I got this idea and was in the right place in my life to follow through. I am writing an epic fantasy reimagining of the classic fairy tale Sleeping Beauty. What if Maleficent were Aurora’s mother and what if she wasn’t really evil. I have two books on Amazon. Talia: Heir to the Fairy Realm and Talia: On the Shore of the Sea. Both books are available on Kindle, paperback and hardback. Book one is on audiobook. My wife and editor is currently recording book 2 for a release before the end of the year Amazon link is:

T.J. Manrique

T.J. Manrique always enjoyed reading. His uncle gave him a Jules Verne book at 10, which started a torrid love affair with the genre. He also enjoyed Ian Fleming and Agatha Christie. He was mesmerized by the B&W TV serials Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon. He found Star Trek in the late 60s. He was in college when Star Wars came out and his professors cemented his passion for the genre by having Sand People and Jawas be the subjects of his genetics midterms. Analyzing the biomechanics of the xenomorphs and humans was a natural progression. He currently lives in Florida with his wife and youngest daughter where he is indulging in his passion for reading and writing.
